MyCar takes the safety of its customers seriously. Our approach to safety can be summed up in one phrase - The best cars - the best technology. We have one of the youngest fleets in South Africa, which means our cars are equipped with the latest safety technology. We carry out a thorough check after every trip, which gives our customers confidence in the condition of the car. A tracker in your car ensures your safety 24/7, 365 days a year. If your car breaks down while you are driving, you can call for roadside assistance, which will arrive as soon as possible. If you are in a dangerous area, you can call armed security, which will not only ensure your safety on the spot, but also accompany you to the nearest car service. Every MyCar comes with a high-speed internet modem to keep you connected wherever you are.
Trackers
MyCar’s fleet is equipped with modern trackers, which not only allow for convenient car tracking, including speed, location, and border crossings, but also remote control of the vehicles in situations where you may need to warm up your car or unlock doors remotely.
Fleet database
MyCar uses a modern, high-tech internal fleet database. Thanks to it, we can monitor the condition of the car fleet and carry out timely maintenance so that each client receives their car in perfect condition.
Roadside assistance
MyCar’s fleet is under South Africa’s leading roadside assistance. In case of any breakage or emergency, an appropriate vehicle will be dispatched to your location. They will either fix your car on the spot, or escort you to the nearest shop for repairs.
E-Tags
Every vehicle in our fleet is equipped with E-Tag transponders. The transponder’s fees, should you choose to use them, will be deducted from your safety deposit. This lets you skip toll booth lines by using the E-TAG gates. The transponder balance is decided by the client during the booking process.
Mobile internet modems
Each MyCar vehicle is fitted with a mobile internet modem, so you can stay connected throughout your trip. The data traffic of the modem is decided by the client during the booking process. You can top up your modem via convenience stores and gas stations. No extra settings needed — everything is ready to use. Connection to the network is done via a unique QR code located in the car’s glove box.
